Welcome to the United States Department of Agriculture, National Finance Center (NFC) Certification Authority (CA) web site. NFC, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, has been serving the Federal Government and its employees with pride for over 30 years. It is this spirit and the spirit of E-Government that NFC set out to become a Trusted CA. NFC began its Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) endeavors in November 1996 when it became a member of the Federal PKI Steering Committee. Since that time, much expansion and progress has been made culminating in NFC becoming one of the first Federal agencies to stand up a full certified and accredited CA. This web site provides information on the CA services offered by NFC and the cost for those services. This web site also explains the process for becoming a CA customer and registering as a subscriber. Reference materials and FAQs are available to assist you if needed. Further information on NFCs CA services may be obtained from the points of contact listed under the CONTACT US button on the menu bar above.
