What is the lifecycle of a certificate?
A certificate has a finite lifetime. When the lifecycle of the
certificate ends, the certificate update is handled in an automated
manner. When the expiration date is approaching, a renewal operation
occurs, and a new certificate is generated. The new certificate
is then used in place of the old certificate, and the user-requested
transaction continues.
What is NFC's

NFC has redundancy/load balancing and/or high availability
here at the center. NFC also has a "Hot Site" located
at another Government facility in the U.S.

A Trusted Agent will have the same responsibilities as an
LRA with the exception that a Trusted Agent cannot apply for
a high certificate for a Subscriber.
Do
all employees at my agency need a certificate?
No, only those employees who are using applications requiring
a certificate.
Should I request
a basic, medium, or high certificate?
The type of business that you are going to conduct or the
NFC application that you are going to use will determine the
