Welcome to the United States Department of Agriculture, (USDA), Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center (NFC) Ethics Web Site.

As the Deputy Ethics Official, it is a pleasure to have you visit this web site. The employees that make up the NFC Family are dedicated to insuring that we provide you — our customers both inside and outside of the Government — with quality services. A part of providing such service depends on each member of our family maintaining high ethical standards. Such standards are crucial to our job performance at the Center. I want to remind and inform everyone that simply avoiding being caught is not the mark of quality public service. The guidelines imposed by our Ethics Office, the USDA Office of Ethics, and the United States Office of Government Ethics may at times seem overly restrictive, but we believe that they must not be ignored even under the real pressures of our official duties. Upholding these standards IS our official duty as public servants.

I am very proud to say that the NFC Family is made up of hard working and loyal individuals who, each day, earn the trust that our public demands.
